Does anyone know how to connect a sony SRS-D511 pc surround sound system to my TV or PS3?

I just bought a new sound sytem with the intention of using it to get surround sound for my PS3 games and blurays but when it came there was no optical cable input for the sound system and there seems to no other way to connect it. Does anyone have any ideas how i could do this, or even to my TV?|||Updated.

The SRS-D511 is a computer speaker setup, not really designed for home theater.

However, you can get by if your TV has stereo audio outputs.

If it does, you can buy a RCA to 3.5" adapter cable and connect the TV's stereo output to the Input 2 jack on the control box for the speakers. Also, make sure you turn on the Dual Stereo switch on the speaker control box.

After that, you should be all set.|||Will this give true surround sound?

|||No, despite finding the answer 'informative' it's wrong. You need an Av receiver or HCIAB for surround sound.

|||Sorry, it can't be done with that package. The system you've bought is for a PC and requires a sound card.

This site is full of people who see a speaker package and assume it will do the job and sound great. You really need to discuss your requirements with someone who knows what they're talking about and not some spotty computer geek who only wants to make a sale.
