What can you do if someone files a false report with SRS?

My husband and I received a disturbing phone call this morning from a man with the local SRS office. He said someone had filed a complaint against us for lack of supervision on our two children. This is absolutely false. We have an idea that someone in his family who is mad at us did this, but it there anything we can do about it?|||There really isn't anything you can do, because they won't let you know who it was that compained. Even if you know who did it, you have to be able to prove it. With VERY strong evidence, you can have a criminal charge filed against that person. Most people can't come up with that level of evidence, so the vast majority of false reporters are getting away with it!





Most likely SRS will end up dropping the whole thing. They do have to come up with some evidence that you don't adequately supervise your kids.
