My SRS light on my '02 Accord is staying on after the car is started. How dangerous is this?

I dont have the time or the money to take it to a dealer. I know the obvious danger of not being protected by the airbag but I want to know if there is any danger of the system inflating during normal driving and no accident. Is there any homemade solution to get this light to stay off.

No wisecracks please!|||Your SRS light is in on because of a malfunction in your passenger protection system. This malfunction could indicate anything from a faulty crash sensor to an airbag ignitor connector being loose or a faulty seatbelt tensioning unit. There is always a possibility of a faulty componet causing unexpected things to happed in your vehicle and this why your

SRS light is letting you know that your vehicle should be checked out by a certified technician as soon as possible. The light will stay off when everything is functioning properly.|||dangerous or not, i dun care or i would like to advise u. its your life. but one thing i am bery sure, it's your insurance compensation will be very hard if things just go wrong with your car.

better get it fix it right away before u regret for not doing it especially when insurance is concerned.
