I dont have the time or the money to take it to a dealer. I know the obvious danger of not being protected by the airbag but I want to know if there is any danger of the system inflating during normal driving and no accident. Is there any homemade solution to get this light to stay off.

The light will stay off when everything is functioning properly.|||dangerous or not, i dun care or i would like to advise u. its your life. but one thing i am bery sure, it's your insurance compensation will be very hard if things just go wrong with your car.
better get it fix it right away before u regret for not doing it especially when insurance is concerned.
