What does SRS on my car dashboard indicates?

It started to do that today when the battery light went on and the car died (no electricity on it) and now I turn the car on with jumper cables and then when it's on THAT LIGHT COMES ON SRS.|||air bags. Some kind of malfunction in the electronic component. Get it checked out. Could be something simple but could also mean that they wont deploy.|||Suplemental Restraint System, is the Air Bag light|||SRS = Safety Restrainst System aka your air bag. There seems to be something wrong with SRS in the computer systems. Thing is, if you don't get that checked out, you're going to be in a world of hurt since the air bags won't inflate if you were to get into a crash.
